More information about pricing, packages, and what to expect

Every wedding is different, so every collection starts with a conversation. Below you'll find what's included, what the investment looks like, and what working together actually feels like from the first email to the final gallery. If you don't see exactly what you need, that usually just means we haven't talked yet.

Package

starting at $450

An hour together at a location that means something to you. Engagement sessions are the best preparation for your wedding day, and most couples tell me it's the moment the nerves went away. We'll plan the location, outfits, and timing in advance so you show up knowing exactly what to expect. You'll leave with a gallery you'll use long before the wedding arrives.

Not every session is a wedding. I photograph individuals, couples, families, and milestones, from anniversary sessions to maternity to headshots and senior portraits. The approach is the same as everything else here. We plan it together, we keep it relaxed, and you leave with images that look like you.

The collections below are built around coverage, because time is what actually shapes the story. A shorter day is a focused one. A longer day catches the getting ready, the quiet moments between events, the last hour on the dance floor. We'll figure out together which one fits your timeline, and adjust from there if it doesn't.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes, and gladly. Travel within 60 miles of the Twin Cities is included in every collection. Beyond that, we add mileage at the standard rate, and weddings more than two hours out include a hotel night so I arrive rested and stay through the end of your night. For destination and international weddings, I put together a custom travel quote at cost with no markup, and you see the full number before you book. Tell me where you're headed.

2. Do you help with planning our engagement session?

Yes, that's part of it. Once your date is set, we'll talk through locations, outfits, and timing together. I'll send you a short guide with ideas that fit the look you're after, and I'm always happy to weigh in on what you're planning to wear. Most couples come in unsure about all three of those things, and that's normal. You don't need a vision going in. You just need to show up.

3. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Your retainer holds your date and is nonrefundable. If you need to reschedule and I'm available for the new date, your retainer transfers at no charge. If I'm not available, we'll find a way forward together. The full terms are in your agreement, and I'll walk you through them anytime.

4. Do you offer digital files, prints, or albums?

Digital files and prints, yes. Every collection includes full resolution images with personal use rights, and your online gallery connects directly to professional printing for prints, canvases, and wall art, so the color comes out the way I delivered it. Albums aren't something I offer as a standard product, but if you want one, ask me. I'm happy to point you toward the labs I trust.

Frequently Asked Questions

5. how do we book?

It's simple. Reach out through the contact form and tell me about your day. We'll set up a call or a coffee to make sure we're a good fit, because I want you to hire me for the right reasons. From there I'll send an agreement and an invoice for your retainer. Once both are signed and paid, your date is yours and we start planning.

6. Do you require a retainer? How does payment work?

Yes. A retainer is due at signing to hold your date, and it's applied to your total. The remaining balance is due before your wedding day. If paying in one piece isn't ideal, I offer payment plans on every collection at no extra cost. Just ask, and we'll build a schedule that works with the rest of your budget.

7. How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book nine to twelve months out, and popular Saturdays in June, September, and October go first. That said, I've photographed weddings booked two years ahead and weddings booked six weeks ahead. If your date is close, reach out anyway. The worst answer is that I'm already taken.

8. What happens if something happens to you on our wedding day?

I've never missed a wedding, and I plan carefully so I never will. But I don't leave it to chance. I carry backup cameras and lenses to every wedding, and every image is written to two cards at once as I shoot, then backed up in two places before I sleep. In the rare case of a genuine emergency, I have a network of photographers I trust and would arrange qualified coverage at no cost to you. Your images would still be edited by me.

Frequently Asked Questions

9. How long do you keep our images?

Your online gallery stays live for one year, and I'll remind you well before it comes down so you can download everything. I keep archived copies of your images beyond that, so if a hard drive fails years from now, reach out. I'd rather you never lose them.

10. What is your photography style?

Editorial meets documentary. The editorial side means I care about light, composition, and styling, and I'll guide you into images that feel intentional rather than accidental. The documentary side means I spend most of the day out of the way, watching for the moments nobody planned. You'll get both. Portraits that feel considered, and a real record of how the day actually happened.

11. Will you help us build our timeline?

Yes, and I'd encourage it. A timeline built without a photographer in it is how couples end up doing portraits in harsh noon light or losing sunset to dinner. I'm happy to review what you have or build one with you from scratch. I also offer day of coordinating if you'd like someone running the day itself, which several couples have added on.

12. Do we need a second photographer?

Not always. For an intimate wedding or a ceremony focused day, one photographer covers it well. A second becomes genuinely valuable when there are two getting ready locations, a large guest count, or a reception where several things happen at once. It also means you get both the wide shot and the close one during your vows, which you only get one chance at. If you're unsure, tell me about your day and I'll give you an honest answer rather than a sales pitch.

Frequently Asked Questions

13. What happens if the weather is bad?

We shoot anyway, and it's often better. Some of my favorite images have come from overcast skies, rain, and Minnesota cold. Soft light is a gift. That said, I'll always have a plan B for your portraits, and we'll scout indoor options at your venue ahead of time so nobody is improvising in a downpour.

14. Do you photograph weddings of all faiths and backgrounds?

Yes, always, and I'd be honored to. My faith shapes how I work, which means I show up with care, respect, and a real desire to serve you well. It has never been a filter on who I photograph. Whatever your traditions look like, tell me about them and I'll learn what matters so I capture them right.

15. Are you available for our date?

The fastest way to know is to ask. Send me your date through the contact form and I'll get back to you within 48 hours with availability and next steps.

16. Will you tell us what to do, or do we just stand there?

I'll tell you what to do. Nobody knows what to do with their hands, and anyone who says they do is lying. I'll get you moving, give you something to react to, and then step back once you forget I'm there. The goal is never a pose. It's what happens two seconds after the pose.
